In Japanese, the expression by chinese characters consists of 'GIN' + 'KYOU'.
This is same as its scientific name too.
This is because its home is china.
Very popular tree along the streets and almost all of japanese love this tree.
Leaves are thick and juicy. if walk on the leaves fallen , watch your steps because very slippery.
ICHO is dioecism. In the autumn, many fruits (color orange) are seen on the female tree. The fruits are covered by pulp that smells very bad.
