MUKUROJI is named soapberry in English, because its seeds contain saponin.
So enter their seeds in water and shake, can see bubbles. One thousand years ago, it was used as body soap and shampoo in Japan.
And the seeds are used as a balance of shuttle of 'HAGOITA'. It's a old game like badminton.
This is a kind of deciduous trees, having leaves like wing of bird.
In autumn their long leaves turn vivid yellow.
